Chemist I

Element has an opening for a Chemist I position at our extractables and leachables (E&L) testing Center of Excellence in Bend OR. This position will work in a cGMPregulated environment under the direction of a Team Lead or other senior staff member in laboratory and office settings. The position will work with a team completing E&L project work using internal methods protocols and SOPs according to customer specific requirements. This position requires working in a collaborative manner with other team members to accomplish organizational goals providing ideas to improve efficiency and actively contributing to positive coworker/customer relationships through efficient interaction on current projects. The Chemist Iwill also contribute to team continuous improvement initiatives.

In this position there are many opportunities for developing strong analytical skills in LCMS/GCMS laboratory functions and for industry advancement. • Solution/sample preparation
• Various laboratory support functions
• Assist with advanced analytical instrumentation and data analysis in analytical methodologies such as GCMS and/or LCMS.
• Effectively perform project tasks under direction of Team Lead and other senior staff members.
• Create revise or review controlled procedures and participate in the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Quality System.
• Promote growth and development within analytical team and greater Element Bend organization.

• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field is required.
• Some experience in a laboratory setting with cGMP experience preferred.
