DescriptionChubb is currently seeking a skilled Core CommercialMultiLineExecutive Underwriter to join its Middle Market Commercial Insurance team. Under limited direction the Executive Underwriter works within broad limits and authority on highly complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge in area of expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Coach/mentor serve as a training resource for junior members of the UW team
- Handle a portfolio of accounts outside of own resident branch (expanded geographic influence)
- Maintain a Client Executive (CE) role for a key branch account(s)
- Assume/maintain an agency manager role
- Lead production or key account management meetings for the CI team
- Take referrals/provide UW coaching to other UWs in the region in areas commensurate with their skill
- Serve as champion for branch/region initiatives i.e. cross sell product lines/industry practices
- Consistent demonstration of high level sales acumen in addition to UW acumen; consistent high level new business contributor
- Subject Matter Expert/Liaison to provide support and act as a conduit to other stakeholders
- Strong Collaboration with CI Manager and EVP on technical and staffing matters
- Collaborates with CI Manager/HRM in the oversight of people management including the attraction and development of talent performance management compensation recommendations performance coaching and disciplinary process.
- May be accountable for the budget performance and results of a team.
QualificationsRequirements:
- A minimum of 810 years of relevant underwriting experience.
- Candidate will have experience in both Property & Casualty lines of business. Familiarity with global programs is a plus.
- Strong sales and marketing skills are critical; must be able to demonstrate successful agency and broker management including building maintaining and managing producer and customer relationships.
- Ability to identify opportunities for growth within new and existing production sources.
Knowledge of marketing principles pricing/rate strategies and how to apply them to attain underwriting profit. - Candidate must possess a high degree of proficiency with the underwriting process with a solid background in risk analysis.
- Candidate must have ability to effectively interact with all levels of customers and collaborate with a team of underwriters claims and loss control personnel.
- Knowledge and proficiency with technical issues compliance coverage products and pricing strategies expected.
The pay range for the role is $104100 to $177100. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors.
