Job Summary
Assist with clerical tasks in the office and setting up events and meetings hosted by the Career & Transfer Center CTC .
Essential Functions
Help with the upkeep of job boards and the database of employers reaching out to the CTC office for hiring Assist with event setup for Career Success Conference Career Fair Transfer Fair and other meetings or events hosted by the CTC Help with outreach to students MC Employees and the community Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 of the time Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time The person in this position needs to move to other locations on campus occasionally Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Use of manual dexterity The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 25 pounds Duties indoors and some outdoors Ability to work extended hours and attend Midland College or community events
Required Qualifications
Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office Basic computer skills Excellent communication customer service and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Knowledge of general office equipment including copier fax machine and multiline telephone
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Data entry experience
