The Opportunity:
The Center for Advanced Turbomachinery and Energy Research within the College of Engineering and Computer Science is seeking a Post Doctoral Scholar. This academic research group focuses on the areas of aviation propulsion combustion hypersonics power generation energy transformation and additive manufacturing. This dynamic center is partnered with many prominent engineering organizations including Siemens Mitsubishi Power Systems GE and Aerojet Rocketdyne.
The work is oriented on the design and testing of various systems and components for applications with supercritical CO2 H2/NH3 molten salt and particlebased storage systems.
The Postdoctoral Scholar will lead a team of graduate and undergraduate students be responsible for leading proposal preparation provide reports to the project manager and assist team management in communicating with external project partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Chemical and Process/Systems Engineering or other related fields.
