Job Description

Role: Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Banding: Band 5/6
Location: Basingstoke
Job Type: Full Time or Parttime Permanent
Salary: 40000 per annum

The AHP team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated Band 5/6 Audiologist in London. Join our unique school in Basingstoke dedicated to providing exceptional education and care for children with ASC. Our school features specialist classrooms and extensive external grounds creating an enriching environment for both students and staff.

Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist:

You will provide an effective and efficient Occupational Therapy service to children with various presentations within their homes. You will assess plan implement and evaluate interventions in family homes. You will support and carry out therapy sessions including individual and group work. You will collaborate with social care healthcare and SEN staff to model good practice and establish support programs. You will complete administrative duties such as data input record keeping and managing the OT email inbox.

What we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist:

You will develop care plans based on best practices using a range of direct and/or indirect delivery models within an educational setting. You will evaluate the impact on individual structures barriers to activity and participation within the educational setting. You will train education staff to incorporate specialist strategies and intervention approaches into their practice and monitor the effectiveness of this training. You will communicate complex conditionrelated information from assessments to clients carers families and members of the multidisciplinary team. You will critically evaluate new intervention methods and models of service delivery and review/implement where appropriate. You will attend meetings with parents and participate in Annual Reviews and assessments of pupils as required.
