The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all troubleshooting repair and preventative maintenance for all equipment and facilities including but not limited to CNC machines Brake Presses Punch Presses Laser Conveyors and Welding Equipment.
Job Duties:
- Performs installation maintenance and repair activities on electrical mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic manufacturing equipment.
- Adjusts machinery and repairs or replaces defective parts and components.
- Dismantles and reassemble machines and carries out routine maintenance activities.
- Performs trouble shooting using standard test equipment detailed drawings sketches specifications manuals or verbal instructions.
- Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs
skills required:
- Read blueprints diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Install align dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps fans tanks conveyors according to layout plans using hand and power tools
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes jacks to position
machinery and parts during the installation setup and repair of machinery - Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Install troubleshoot and maintain power transmission vacuum hydraulic and pneumatic systems and programmable logic controls
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts and ability to operate manual and power hand tools compressors drills sanders etc and to read measuring tape feeler gage calipers etc
- Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul maintenance or setup of machinery
- Clean lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
- Maintain daily check list good communicator teamwork little supervision under pressure and multitask
- Abide by OHSA regulations and StampTek policy and procedures pertaining to Lock Out/Tag out completing work orders etc. Advise Management of actions taken.
- Licensed forklift scissor lift and first aid and knowledge of Electrical Safety Code OHSA TSSA and WHMIS
- Industrial Mechanic Diploma or comparable or Millwright License
- Computer skills (PM Programs Email Word/Excel and Google an asset
