Manager Academic Services
The Academic Services Manager (ASM) is responsible for leading a team that directly supports Verticalwide academic administration. The Academic Services team is embedded within a Vertical (this position is within Business) and works closely with the ProViceChancellor or Dean Associate Dean and Program Directors as part of the Vertical Academic Management Team.
The Academic Services Manager leads the team providing advice and support across a distributed service environment and is responsible for the implementation and coordination of groupwide academic policies and processes for their Vertical.

On a typical day in this role you will:
Manage a team that directly supports Verticalwide academic administration
Develop and implement improved academic administrative processes in relation to learning and teaching by evaluating existing procedures
Provide effective management and decision making within the Academic Services Team to ensure a culture of high performance customer service teamwork and innovation
Ensure course and subject level curriculum data captured and created within academic administration processes is validated and maintained with the highest levels of integrity
Support compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines relating to academic administration including provision of highlevel advice on course data management issues
Project manage and draft submissions for course related and professional association activities including course accreditation and renewal notification of material changes and CRICOS related matters
Manage administrative processes associated with course review ensuring regulatory requirements are met and the integrity of course data is maintained
Ensure course and policy information within marketing collateral is accurate current and meets regulatory requirements
Manage the effective implementation of and adherence to academic policies and associated systems and processes within the Vertical contributing to policy review and improvement as required
This is Full Time Permanent opportunity based in Sydney or Adelaide with flexibility considered for the right candidate
Who are you
To be successful in the Manager Academic Services position you will have:
Qualifications in business administration or related field with 2 years subsequent relevant administrative experience supporting academic teaching and learning outcomes
Proven track record of implementing policies and processes within a distributed service environment
Experience in managing academic administration functions including knowledge of VET and HE regulatory requirements
Experience coordinating a large team in the education sector with a positive and practical approach to staff
Experience in determining lean business processes and managing large volumes of data
Ability in managing a successful program and/or projects with associated business impact ensuring critical deadlines are met and that risks issues and resources required are effectively managed
The ability to drive change management and influence change across distributed teams
Creativity in solving problems and generating innovative solutions
A studentservice mentality and respect for balancing both people and commercial needs
