Job Description: Civil Design Engineer
Our Client is seeking applications for a Civil Design Engineer based in either Nashville TN or Bowling Green KY. Our Client is a distinguished employeeowned global environmental consulting and engineering firm committed to delivering innovative solutions. They specialize in Environmental Management and Planning Civil Design Engineering Environmental Restoration Natural & Water Resources Health & Safety and Technology with a robust network of offices across the United States.
Position Overview
As a Civil Design Engineer the selected candidate will engage in diverse projects within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Our Client is dedicated to fostering creativity supporting professional growth and empowering staff to excel in their roles without constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support engineering design efforts for site civil stormwater drainage industrial wastewater and utility design projects.
- Develop civil design plans including solid waste management/landfill design impoundments and associated plans and profiles.
- Prepare engineering designs for regulatory permitting site development specifications and bid documents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems.
- Participate in and coordinate design and construction meetings with clients and subcontractors including prebid meetings.
- Plan schedule and conduct detailed phases of design work.
- Engage in proposal and marketing support project and practice management and client project involvement as necessary.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with proficiency in Civil 3D/CAD.
- Minimum of 5 years of civil design experience preferably with an engineering consulting firm.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the respective state or the capability to obtain it.
- Demonstrated experience with civil engineering design for both municipal and industrial clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience in group management and mentoring.
- Willingness to travel regionally and potentially nationally for client meetings.
