The Department of Economic Security Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services (DERS) strengthens Arizona communities by bridging and minimizing gaps to employment and independence.

DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Auditor 2 with the Quality Assurance and Integrity Administration (QAIA). This position is responsible for work of considerable moderately complex difficulty including the completion monitoring and analysis of DERS case audits; with a focus on actions which may include WIOA Jobs and SNAP CAN compliance.

This position may require travel to various locations for offsite meetings training or conferences.

Travel will be required for State business. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid classappropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on State business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on State business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code A.A.C. R210207.11.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

All work including remote work should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist in the identification of actions that contribute to strategic and operational objectives related to State Federal and Policy regulations/rule compliance. Interpret and apply established guidelines.
Prepared written documents and reports regarding audits applying judgment and discretion. Issue findings to affected personnel (internal/External organizations/institutions) or management.
Establish and maintain an accountability system to track progress on corrective measures and/or monitoring schedules.
Develop detailed spreadsheets charts and databases to demonstrate basis for findings and/or recommendations.
Examine and analyze statistical data work procedures methods and make recommendations for enhancement.
Extract casa data information from automated system to obtain sample information and enter results as necessary.
Travel as necessary to compile and assess information. Prepared for and participate in Fair Hearings as necessary.

Knowledge of data gathering auditing methods and procedures report preparation and summarization methods.
Knowledge of Federal and State rules and regulations governing federally funded programs policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the Department of Economic Security (DES) services and how programs across divisions/administrations are interrelated.
Skills in using automated programs for research analysis and work management.
Skills in oral and written communication skills necessary to outline the results of audits.
Skills in leading projects with professional personnel.
Skills in producing statistical and other reports and detailoriented.
Ability to accurately read understand and interpret complex issues laws rules regulations policies and data.
Ability to plan analyze and coordinate activities establish priorities develop procedures and evaluate program compliance with established policies and procedures.
Ability to summarize and analyze large amounts of information and data to identify trends in material being reviewed and to present quantitative and/or qualitative information along with recommendations.
