Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for unloading product deliveries timely and accurate customer order fulfillment and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory in the distribution center. Forklift/Order Picker use requires working at heights of up to 20 feet while wearing safety harness.

JOB DUTIES:

  1. DEPENDABILITY & RELIABILITY:
    1. Identify and report safety issues

  2. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
    1. Complete and maintain forklift operation certification as required
    2. Complete and maintain any other training as required by management
    3. Proficiency in 3 or more roles listed in the Job Knowledge category below.
  3. JOB KNOWLEDGE:
    1. ORDER PICKING:
      1. Act as a resource guide and role model for all new hires; demonstrate ability to energetically and enthusiastically assist new hires in acclimating to the job and foster a sense of belonging
      2. Perform order fulfillment functions using technology in accordance with standard operating procedures
      3. Ensure that all low unit of measure items are picked in such a manner that sterility cleanliness and order neatness is maintained throughout the delivery of the order to the customer
      4. Orders must be bagged and packed in a neat and efficient manner in accordance with current standard operating procedures
      5. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area (i.e. discard empty boxes).
      6. Responsible for verifying the expiration dates on products and ensuring the product shipped is clean and undamaged. All outdated or damaged products will be brought to the attention of a Supervisor
      7. Ensure that all containers (bins totes boxes etc. are labeled correctly
      8. May require preparing customer orders for shipping by palletizing totes / cases and shrink wrapping pallets or carts
      9. Complete work that has been assigned by a Supervisor in a timely manner
    2. CUSTODIAN:
      1. Complete work that has been assigned by a Supervisor in a timely manner
      2. Use floor scrubber to clean DC floor when necessary
      3. Empty trash cans and rolling trash bins when necessary
      4. Remove debris from exterior of building when necessary
      5. Wipe down storage shelving
      6. Paint damaged or scratched areas of the DC interior
      7. Identify and correct safety hazards in the work environment
      8. Assist in keeping shelves orderly by removing empty pallets and shrink wrap
      9. Assist with minor building maintenance projects
      10. Wipe down forklifts when necessary
      11. Maintain forklift charging area
    3. ORDER PICKING FORKLIFT Forklift/Order Picker use requires working at heights of up to 20 feet while wearing safety harness.:
      1. Complete work that has been assigned by a Supervisor in a timely manner
      2. Perform order fulfillment functions using hand held devices in accordance with standard operating procedures
      3. Certified capable of safely using all fork lift equipment in our facility
      4. Capable of safely using all other manual (i.e. pallet jacks) and motorized (i.e. stock chasers) material handling equipment
      5. Follow all daily equipment inspection activities
      6. Report any operational defects or potential safety hazards to a Supervisor and take that piece of equipment out of service
      7. Return all equipment to its appropriate idle location and ensure that all equipment gets recharged when not in use
      8. Perform application inquires to find products and inventory
      9. Ensure that all containers (bins totes boxes etc. are all labeled correctly
      10. May require preparing customer orders for shipping by palletizing totes / cases and shrink wrapping pallets or carts
    4. STOCKING FORKLIFT Forklift/Order Picker use requires working at heights of up to 20 feet while wearing safety harness.:
      1. Proficiency in required computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook Supply Chain Management Software
      2. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable and related supply chain management tool functions
      3. Perform inventory storage functions using hand held devices in accordance with standard operating procedures
      4. Certified capable of safely using all other manual (i.e. pallet jacks) and motorized (i.e. stock chasers) material handling equipment
      5. Complete all daily equipment inspection activities and report any operational defects or potential safety hazards to a Supervisor
      6. Return all equipment to its appropriate idle location and ensure that all equipment gets recharged when not in use
      7. Perform application inquiries to solve discrepancies when they are discovered
      8. Minimize occurrences of overriding suggested storage locations
    5. RETURNS:
      1. Process all products returned from customers and to vendors in accordance with company policies
      2. Make appropriate data entry to maintain all necessary documentation pertaining to customer and vendor returns
      3. Restock products returned from customers
      4. Demonstrate ability to operate all equipment necessary to function in this position
    6. SHIPPING ORDER CONSOLIDATION:
      1. Ensure that all low unit of measure items are picked in such a manner that sterility cleanliness and order neatness is maintained throughout the delivery of the order to the customer
      2. Orders must be bagged and packed in a neat and efficient manner in accordance with current standard operating procedures
      3. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area (i.e. discard empty boxes).
      4. Responsible for verifying the expiration dates on products and ensuring the product shipped is clean and undamaged. All outdated or damaged products will be brought to the attention of a Supervisor
      5. Ensure that all containers (bins totes boxes etc. are labeled correctly; responsible for affixing the department specific packing slip to the picked order in such a manner that it is easily readable and accessible to the customer
      6. May require preparing customer orders for shipping by palletizing totes / cases and shrink wrapping pallets or carts
      7. Responsible for preparing necessary delivery paperwork such as a manifest or bill of lading
      8. Complete work that has been assigned by a Supervisor in a timely manner
  4. QUALITY OF WORK:
    1. Maintain high quality performance by accurately utilizing Elite software
    2. Correctly perform necessary inventory adjustments
    3. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area (i.e. discard empty boxes)
  5. ADHERENCE TO COMPANY POLICIES:
    1. Follow all documented LeeSar policy and procedure
    2. Demonstrate ability to meet LeeSar attendance policy being at work on time every shift
    3. Follow all safety regulations and rules
  6. COMMUNICATION COLLABORATION & ENGAGEMENT:
    1. Demonstrate ability to properly escalate appropriate issues to shift supervisor including but not limited to: products being stored to the wrong location any outdated / expired product being unable to complete work for any reason etc
    2. Demonstrate good verbal and nonverbal communication skills including positive and strong team communication skills
    3. Demonstrate strong desire to learn and develop new skills
    4. Daily demonstration of great focus and attention to detail in all processes
  7. PRODUCTIVITY:
    1. Meet or exceed suggested standards in each area of the DC
    2. Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  1. High School or GED Graduate required
  2. Read write and speak English for work related communication
  3. On the job training and certification support provided upon hire for required positions
