Job Description
- Dallas ISD Communication Services is seeking a dynamic intern to support efforts in effectively engaging with students families staff and the community. This inperson internship provides handson experience in content creation writing and marketing. The intern will play a key role in producing highquality communications that highlight the districts initiatives and achievements while gaining valuable skills in a collaborative and fastpaced environment.
- Understanding of AP Style writing and strong editing skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign Premiere) or other editing tools like Canva.
- Perform assigned duties specific to the operational needs of the operating department where the internship is performed.
- Communicate effectively with department mentor and departmental staff.
- Perform specific tasks under the guidance of staff to support program activities.
- Ensure that punctuality is an essential function of the job.
- Provide feedback at the end of the internship to coordinator to help improve the internship program.
- Demonstrate the following core values: trustworthiness responsibility respect fairness caring and citizenship.
- Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. Equivalency).
- Currently enrolled in college.
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions in written and verbal form.
- Demonstrates ability to perform responsibilities under direct supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to read and follow documentation such as safety procedures operating instructions and procedure manuals.
