Thermacell currently employs 125 full time employees at our 4 locations Bedford Massachusetts (Corporate HQ) Buford Georgia (Manufacturing & Distribution) Hampton Florida (Science & Research Center).
ROLE PURPOSE:
Thermacell is currently seeking to grow our manufacturing business and is looking for a highly motivated Manufacturing Machine Operator. Manufacturing Machine Operators are responsible for performing an array of duties such as operating manufacturing equipment assembling packaging inspecting materials or performing warehouse functions. This role will report to the 1st Shift Manufacturing Supervisor.
STATUS: NonExempt
WORKING HOURS: 7:00 am 3:30 pm (extended hours as needed)
WORK LOCATION: 4630 Distribution Parkway Buford GA 30519
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operating the Machine: Setting the machine up and keeping the machine running. Making sure to clear jams making adjustments and making sure you have a quality product at the end
- Reporting: Completing productivity reports detailing the number of parts or products made during each shift
- Adheres to all manufacturing standard operating procedures
- Performs Quality Control checks including inspecting and testing finished products for defects and quality assurance
- Develop and adherence to equipment centerline and running line standards
- Follow equipment and process troubleshooting methodologies: WhyWhy 5W2H etc. and making basic equipment repairs
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing key performance indicators
- Production assembly operations
- Ability to perform change overs and make process adjustments
- Meets company productivity and quality standards
- Maintains clean work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Adherence to established safety policies and procedures
- Other duties may be assigned

COMPENSATION
Compensation for this position will include a competitive base salary and a Quarterly and Annual Target Bonus programdetails proved separately. Benefits for this position will consist of vacation benefits at a competitive level & 11 paid company holidays. Additionally a company shutdown period is offered for one week between Christmas and New Years Day.

You will be eligible for the employer match up to 4 (base salary overtime wages subject to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) legal limit) after completing one year of service.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- HS Diploma/GED
- Mechanical Skills including mechanical comprehension mechanical knowledge and basic electronics
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
- Experience operating packaging equipment
- Selfstarter and fastlearner ability to be proactive/plan accordingly
- Ability to manage and deliver multiple simultaneous priorities
- Strong collaboration skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 to 12 hours
- Ability to read and comprehend production order requirements in English
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to work overtime as needed. Overtime may be prior to and/or after scheduled work hours (including weekends)
