Job Description
Autobody Painter / Helper
Job Summary: We are currently searching for a painter helper to add to our team. Your primary job in this role will be to prep the exteriors of our clients vehicles for paint. As you will be working as part of our larger vehicle care team it is important that youre able to work well with others and capable of demonstrating professionalism in the workplace. If you believe that you would do well as an auto body technician in our shop then wed love to take a look at your resume.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist Paint Technician by preparing vehicles and parts for painting using proper techniques equipment and materials.
- Remove grease dirt paint or rust from vehicles surfaces in preparation for paint application.
- Apply paper and masking tape to protect nonpainted surfaces. Buff rub and polish completed vehicles.
- May assist Paint Technician with blending as needed. Works with paint team to keep all vehicles on schedule for ontime delivery.
- Maintain all tools and equipment keep workspace clean and organized.
- Ensure paint area and paint mix/storage rooms are clean and all refinish products are stored as directed.
- Utilize all required safety equipment and follow proper refinishing procedures in compliance with OSHA and Dons safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager Painter Helper Requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Be able to work within production schedules and deadlines.
- Must be reliable thorough trustworthy and detailoriented with strong oral communication skills and work ethic.
- Must be punctual and organized with a strong sense of time management.
- Willingness to follow instructions knowledge of shop safety and be an effective team player.
- Must have a clean driving record valid drivers license reliable transportation and legal working status.
- Education or prior paint repair experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of color sanding is preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.

Chosen candidates will be able to successfully pass a background check drug screen and have a good driving record. Rate of pay will be determined by previous experience.
