Job Description
- Reading and understanding Technical Drawings.
- Maintaining repairing and modifying mechanical equipment and components.
- Installing components including but not limited to electrical hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical components on new and existing machines and equipment.
- Ability to run fabrication/CNC equipment. (ie. Mills Lathes Grinders etc.
- Ability to weld/braze various metals.
- Ability to train operators and maintenance staff on proper operation of equipment.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and to incorporate ideas for making processes more efficient.
Requirements:
- Maintaining a Safe and Clean working environment.
- Following Verbal instructions and performing tasks assigned by the Manufacturing Engineer.
- Build parts assemble equipment and perform repairs by reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Daily use of hand tools Mills Lathes Saws Wire Welders etc.
- Flexible work schedule. (May be required to occasionally work a 1012 hour shift to complete a project on time may also be required to temporarily work during 2nd and/or 3rd shift or over a weekend.
- Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy procedures and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Ability to work continuous improvement of product quality and ISO9001:2008.
Qualifications:
- Relevant work experience repairing and/or building manufacturing equipment An associate degree in engineering drafting technology Industrial technology or Mechatronics would be beneficial.
- Selfstarter able to plan and follow through independently on assignments.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with an understanding that excellent internal and external customer service is the main goal.
