You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Department of Neurology at the University of Washington (UW) School of Medicine is seeking to hire a neurologist to specialize in sleep medicine at the UW Medicine Sleep Center at Harborview Medical Center. Other potential practice sites within UW Medicine include the UW Medical Center at Montlake and the UW Medical Center at Northwest Hospital. The UW Medicine Sleep Center represents a dynamic environment to practice sleep medicine. The successful candidate will participate in outpatient and inpatient care of patients with sleep disorders and contribute to a currently developing hypoglossal nerve stimulator clinical program. This individual will interpret a wide variety sleep studies including: home sleep apnea tests polysomnograms (both diagnostic and titration studies) multiple sleep latency tests maintenance of wakefulness tests and actigraphy. You will interact with an outstanding and dedicated multidisciplinary group of six sleep medicine physicians and three advanced practice registered nurses. This is a fulltime open rank without tenure appointment. In addition to direct patient care your responsibilities will include teaching and broadly defined scholarship activities.

Faculty with 12month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12month period (JulyJune) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for this position in this title will be $19236 $22084 per month $230832 to $265008 per year) commensurate with experience discipline and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

The base salary range for this position in this title will be $21295 $26679 per month $255540 to $320148 per year) commensurate with experience discipline and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Our salaries are bench marked based on the AAMC scale. Other compensation associated with this position may or may not include Startup Relocation Incentive/Moving Allowance Administrative supplement for a defined administrative role or Productivity Incentive.
Salary is commensurate with experience. The anticipated start date is July 1 2025.
Requires an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Completion of a clinical neurophysiology or epilepsy fellowship training program is required. Must be eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H1B visa graduates of foreign (nonU.S. medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
