Clinical Governance Lead

Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital Clinical Management Permanent Part time

Salary dependent on experience

22.5 hours per week

As our Clinical Governance Lead at our Hospital you will provide strong clinical leadership and scrutiny of all matters relating to the Quality of all clinical care delivery. This role will work alongside Senior Clinical Leaders and key stakeholders across the organisation to facilitate clinical excellence impact and fulfilment of Nuffield Healths charitable purpose.

You will be a registered Clinician (NMC HCPC or GPC) and be educated up to degree/post graduate level in a clinical discipline. You will also have the relevant qualifications in organisational governance e.g. ISO9001 Auditor or equivalent. In addition we are looking for someone who can demonstrate senior leadership within the healthcare sector with significant experience in clinical governance and quality assurance. You will have excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and be able to work proactively and efficiently.

As our Clinical Governance Lead you will:

  • Champion the organisations brand values.

Drive the continuous improvement of our:

  • Data quality and data analysis capabilities

  • Reporting and escalation processes i.e. Board and Incident Reporting; in order to guide our Quality learning and decisionmaking.

  • Work alongside other Senior Clinical and Medical Leaders lead the delivery of Quality Assurance and improvement activity including delivery of systems which support clinical effectiveness patient safety regulatory compliance customer feedback and professional development.

  • Lead on the continued development review and oversight of Clinical Policies and SOPs ensuring that the clinical policy catalogue is effectively managed.

  • Provide advice guidance and subject matter expertise on governance processes to all those involved in the leadership of clinical care including dealing with complaints.

  • Support the maintenance and achievement of clinical and/or organisational accreditation e.g. ISO9001 contributing to and facilitating successful certification.

  • Support the delivery and achievement of Nuffield Healths Quality Improvement Plan leading on clinical projects and workstreams within remit.

  • As a subject matter expert contribute towards strategic negotiations on all matters relating relation to clinical governance and Quality assurance supporting the achievement of commercial objectives

The Hospital has a strong local reputation with patients remaining loyal. The Hospital had a 4.5 million refurbishment in 2011 and was the blue print for the wider Hospitals refresh programme.

The Hospital has 28 ensuite inpatient beds 2 Laminar flow theatres Endoscopy Suite minor treatment room and 14 consulting rooms. The hospital delivers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient treatments and services using the best possible technologies. Since 2015 we have invested in a static MRI unit a new digital X ray room & digital mammography. We are a local centre of excellence for Children and Young People Services. Having a Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester has led to a close working relationship and the Hospital was a forerunner for the Nuffield recovery plus programme.

The Hospital has been rated as a Good hospital by the CQC and achieved this rating across the 5 key lines of enquiry across all departments inspected
