Job Description
THE ROLE
Alpine Investors is seeking a Deal Sourcing Analyst to join Alpines deal originations team. This dynamic position will focus across Alpines investments in software and services and will consist of (i) researching and identifying markets to invest in (ii) compiling lists of prospective companies and their executives (iii) reaching out directly to CEOs/Owners with a wellcrafted message to gauge their interest in selling and (iv) evaluating the fundamentals and growth opportunities of the potential investment. Given the exposure in this role Analysts will develop their own investing judgment and have opportunities to shape our investment criteria as they build expertise in markets.
The direct sourcing team within Alpine Operations Group (Elevation) provides a critical service to Alpine and its portfolio companies. The Elevation team creates more optionality and opportunities for investments across the Alpine portfolio and has allowed Alpine to increase the volume of closed deals since 2021. The target start date for this role is September 2025.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Utilize databases and internet research to compile lists of prospective acquisition targets
- Create and execute outbound strategies that result in engaging business owners/CEOs in a discussion to sellcold calls cold emails LinkedIn outreach etc.
- Conduct introductory conversations with owners/CEOs of prospective businesses and build rapport
- Qualify deal opportunities you generate against our investment criteria
- Present market research and new investment opportunities to internal stakeholders
- Complete ad hoc projects focused on sourcing workflows or Alpines investing strategy.
- Participate in a variety of firmwide activities and teambonding events.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree interest in business sales entrepreneurship or finance
- 02 years of buyside or direct sourcing experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Curious mindset desire to learn and ability to implement feedback
- Selfstarter that thrives in ambiguous environments
- Relationshipdriven
