Responsibilities
Assists physicians during electrophysiology procedures pacemaker/ICD insertions radiofrequency ablation and other miscellaneous procedures required by operating the electrophysiology recorder hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.
Qualifications
- Must possess one 1 of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Registered Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) IBHRE CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist) and/or prior applicable training/experience in invasive cardiology and/or electrophysiology.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.
- Must obtain advanced specialty certification within two years of hire date.
