Parttime adjunct faculty pool in Art to fill opportunities on a coursebycourse basis as need arises.JOB DESCRIPTION
The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking parttime adjunct faculty to teachArt.WPIs Artfaculty teach introductory coursesintermediateclassadvancedtechniqueseminars and capstone practicums.The Art curriculumemphasizesvisual arts (drawing painting and modeling); art and architectural history; digital imaging and computer art; animation and game design and video production.
We are looking for outstanding artists/scholars but successful candidates mustalsodemonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an abilityto jumpintoanexisting curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.A successful candidate should hold an appropriate terminal degreesuch as an MFA or a Ph.D. in an appropriate field.
