The following position is to join our RTX Corporate Enterprise Services Research Center or BBN team:

What You Will Learn
This role is responsible for integrating all aspects of Engineering Software (SW) functions into Enterprise Services (ES) Strategy and Transformation Initiatives through collaborating and partnering with suppliers ES leaders and functional service owners. A key component of the role is to develop supplier capabilities partnerships and category strategies for internal use requirements.
The ideal candidate will draw from past experience with various Engineering software technologies and can assist with translating this knowledge via contract negotiations and project management skills to lead the coordination communication and integration of suppliers to support the achievement of technical financial and performance objectives. This individual will have an understanding of supplier products and develop various strategies to drive year on year cost savings to help RTX meet its bottom line.
An understanding of the endtoend procurement process from contract negotiations to requisition and PO placement is needed for this role.The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to develop effective presentations and present to leadership and peers.
Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Strategy Development & Negotiation: Build a strategy lead and manage negotiations for Engineering Software (SW) contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions to the achievement of technical financial and performance objectives for RTX
Supplier Examples: Siemens PTC Ansys and Mathworks
License Types: Experience with various forms of SW licensing methodologies and complex pricing analysis
Contract Review & Drafting: Review draft and revise a variety of contracts including software licenses and master agreements
Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders including partnership peers legal finance cyber to align contract terms with company objectives
Vendor Management: Manage relationship with suppliers ensuring adherence to agreed terms quality and opportunity development
Establish supplier engagement plans and enforce overall governance within portfolio
Develop and manage an integrated master schedule of engagements renewals RFQs etc.
Facilitate supplier performance reviews benchmarks & reporting
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Supports the investigation negotiation and favorable resolution of disputes with suppliers
Managing Software audits
Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate records of all contract negotiations drafts and final agreements
Market Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends regulatory changes and best practices in software contracting
Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements in deal tracking (savings risk metrics) and contract management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications You Must Have
A Bachelors Degree with an MBA preferred
Minimum 10 years Sourcing and Procurement Management with at least 5 years in Digital Preferred
Experience with various types of software licensing models for Engineering Software
Negotiating software/SaaS contracts to drive year on year cost savings to help RTX meet its bottom line
Experience with endtoend procurement process
Microsoft Suite of Products including Excel Word and Teams
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Qualifications We Prefer
Strong project management skills and ability to convert requirements into executable strategies and ability to develop and manage an integrated master schedule
Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
Ability to develop effective presentations and documents used for leadership reviews
Demonstrated ability to understand financial information budgets and program performance and develop strategies and business cases to improve performance in these areas
Understand and perform contract redlines
Business acumen to connect technical requirements and concerns to contract performance

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
