Job Description

Serving airports and other aviation clients for more than 70 years across all seven continents our aviation consulting practice includes both planning and development services that span activation planning airfield and airspace business and finance commercial development environmental ground transportation master planning and strategy terminal planning and design.

Job Summary

Landrum & Brown is seeking selfmotivated driven individuals with strong written verbal and graphic communication skills with a background in architecture and/or engineering to help us bring innovative airport terminal solutions to the aviation industry.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior Terminal Planners and support other staff in conducting analyses and preparing project deliverables. Air travel to our airport clients and between our U.S. and overseas offices is a requirement while a willingness to work outside the U.S. during ones career on a permanent or periodic basis will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Develop refine and evaluate alternatives for passenger terminal airfield and landside facilities.

  • Develop programmatic requirements for medium and large hub airports.

  • Support the development of planning cost estimates and facility phasing/implementation plans.

  • Support terminal planning studies by developing written reports graphics and presentations.

  • Coordinate with clients subconsultants and key stakeholders to achieve projects goals and objectives.

  • Provide onsite client support and assist in design charrettes and facility surveys.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors and/ or Masters degree in Architecture Engineering Transportation Planning or related degree is required.

  • Approximately five 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility relative to airport terminal planning architecture infrastructure and development of passenger terminal expansion or modifications concepts.

  • Understanding of airport passenger flows and baggage operations and other critical systems.

Preferred Skills and Technical Expertise

  • Advanced capabilities in AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Advanced capabilities in SketchUp or comparable 3D modeling software.

  • Workability in Adobe Suite including Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign.

  • Workability in PathPlanner or comparable gate planning software.

  • Workability in Microsoft Word Excel and Projec.t

  • Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars.

  • Familiarity with IATA ADRM design criteria.
