Brief Description:
A Welder Fabricator performs various fabrication and welding tasks supporting production with specialized tasks and projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Installation of parts and components per work instructions.
- Fabrication of parts and brackets as required using diagrams and/or engineering drawings.
- Follow oral and written task directives.
- Troubleshoot and assist with corrective measures as needed due to engineering or design issues.
- Selfinspect continually during work shift; analyze and offer suggestions for progressive improvement.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Operate and preventively maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures rules and regulations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Up to 2 to 4 years of welding experience.
- Tape measurement and blueprint skills a must.
- Fabrication experience/certification preferred.
- Highly skilled in Mig/Tig application (Ferrous and alloy metals. Must have experience with stainless steel & aluminum.
- Knowledge and skilled in the proper use of cutting equipment.
- Skilled in reading comprehension writing and mathematical skills.
- Ability to understand written and verbal work instructions.
- Skilled in the operation of basic hand tools shop tools and equipment. Competency in the use of measuring devices to stay within required tolerances.
- Highly skilled and mechanically inclined. Ability to learn processes quickly adapt to process changes and implement those changes.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing processes and related machinery.
- Ability to keep a clean and safe working environment.
- Welding Certification is a plus.
- Manufacturing and/or automotive experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel if required.
- Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screen and background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Required to walk reach with hands and arms stoop kneel crouch climb and crawl.
- Regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs.; frequently lift and move up to 30 lbs.; occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to see and adjust visual focus both upclose and at a distance; position requires peripheral vision depth perception and ability to see and distinguish colors.

Working Environment:
- Exposure to highlevels of noise.
- May be exposed to caustic fluids and fumes.
- Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses hearing protection work boots and hardhats.
- Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
- Position may operate a motor vehicle and may work outdoors.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this position will be in the range of $18 to $20 per hour. Qualified candidates will generally work a 40 hour work week.
