Your role as Specialist Public Policy and Communications
Reporting to JeanChristophe de Le Rue Senior Director Public Policy and Communications the role of the Specialist Public Policy and Communications is to coordinate media relations news monitoring internal communications and support government relations.
What youll be doing:
- Preparing and organizing internal communications such as corporate announcements
- Coordinating key public relations initiatives in Canada
- Supporting the team with government relations including document drafting representing the company with the government and overall strategy
- Responding to requests for information from the media and working with internal spokespeople
- Helping prepare and conduct the companywide updates including content and inoffice logistics
Wed love to hear from you if you have:
- 13 years of experience in public relations
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask
- A passion for news current events and communications
- Experience supporting speaker preparation for events and media interviews
- Ability to develop and execute communication plans for announcements pitches and reports
- Strong relationshipbuilding skills and a focus on team success
- Techsavviness with experience in media monitoring software Zoom iMovie Microsoft Suite and Google Suite (asset)
- A solid understanding of politics and government
