At the present time vacancies exist for Instructional Assistantswithin the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program Student Services Division of the CCIU.Currently there are multipleopenings working with prek elementary middle and/or high schoolaged students and supporting English Language Learnersand/or academic support students. These positions are temporary for the duration of the summer ONLY.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required
Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred
Experience working with the applicable age group preferred
Computer and current technology knowledge required
Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check (available throughCCIU upon hire)
Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with planning and implementation of supplemental educational programs
Assist with regular communication with participating students parents teachers guidance counselorsand administrators as necessary
Assist with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children and in the dissemination of information usingtranslation/interpretation services as needed
Assist with the planning and implementation of parent involvement activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Center program

Program Dates: June 30th July 31st
Mon Thurs 9:30AM 2:30PM OR 10:30AM 3:30PM
No program on Fridays
Training Dates: June 25th & 26th 9:00AM 1:00PM

The IA pay scale is broken down below for you toreference.

0 9yrs experience $18.35
10 13yrs experience $20.16
14 17yrs experience $21.97
18 21yrs experience $23.78
22 25yrs experience $23.78
*Bachelors degree isequivalent to 9 yrs experience on the scale $18.35
*Masters degree isequivalent to 15 yrsexperience on the scale $21.97
