Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Training team physician and Athletic Director this position is responsible for the prevention diagnosis and intervention of emergency acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment functional limitations and disabilities. To optimize activity and participation of over 500 athletes participating in 22 NCAA Division III sanctioned sports and club sports as assigned. This is a temporary nonexempt staff position scheduled to work up to 19 hours per week for a duration of up to one nine 9 months.
Responsibilities
Athletic Team Coverage Serve as certified athletic trainer for intercollegiate athletic and club teams. Attending home and away games as assigned. Assist and support the Director of Athletic Training and Sports Medicine with all supervisory and athletic event coverage. Assist the Director of Athletic Training and Sports Medicine in the design and implementation of comprehensive program of injury prevention and injury care. Administrative Responsibilities Assist and support the Director of Athletic Training with record keeping and data entry including medical clearance injury treatment and medical referral documentation.
