Responsibilities
Submission intake analysis to determine completeness and consistency; (in consultation with the IACUC / IRB administrators as appropriate validate the protocols review classification (e.g. exempt expedited full board etc. based upon knowledge developed in the role and over time; Tracking and documenting submission/protocol statuses and correspondences; Disseminating submission/protocol documents to the IRB and IACUC Committees; Responding to faculty and staff to provide status updates; Ability to learn and work with Cayuse software. Ability to enforce IRB and IACUC requirements; Consults with the IRB and IACUC administrators when needed; Refers researchers to the IRB and IACUC administrators when needed Managing the IRB and IACUC Outlook mail inboxes/calendars; Maintaining confidentiality Ability to learn and create reports using technology6 (e.g. Cayuse and Excel); Providing monthly quarterly and annual IRB reports; Providing IACUC reports as needed Ability to learn and use appropriate software to assist with creating updating and posting submission/protocol forms and web content including but not limited to pages such as FAQs and Policies and Procedures on the IRB and IACUC websites Ensures all research team members complete required training(s); Provides research teams with education and resources related to IRB and IACUC training requirements and processes Assists with IRB and IACUC meeting preparations; Tracks meeting RSVPs of IRB and IACUC members. Attends IRB and IACUC meetings; Takes notes and drafts minutes Completes CITI courses related to research compliance Assists with special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
