Job Description
Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a System Administrator to join our team in the Fort Meade MD / Annapolis Junction MD area. Our dynamic team delivers information security solutions that facilitate secure data flows and the detection/prevention of unauthorized behaviors performs system security vulnerability assessments and solution development provide enterpriselevel network server desktop and application security services.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (Five 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree).
- DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 2 is required.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required.
- Ten 10 years experience as a Sys Admin in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity.
- Strong Windows Admin proficiency.
- Strong Linux Admin proficiency.
- Ability to provide indepth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
- Ability to perform light physical labor (installing and recovering equipment less than 10lbs to/from their mounted positions).
- Ability to configure and manage Linux (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software troubleshoot maintain integrity of and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with ElasticSearch and /or Splunk data analytics would be beneficial but is not required.
