Job Description
The QA Analyst job description encompasses two main roles: testing and documentation. After Software Developers complete their development tasks Quality Assurance Analysts test them. They use a variety of tools testing applications and reports to compare the software to user requirements. They ensure that the software functions according to those requirements. After testing Quality Assurance Analysts recommend changes and improvements for software. They work with developers to make the appropriate changes and then test everything all over again.
- Document the entire quality testing process developing/executing software test plans and communicating the test results
- Describe the program evaluation testing methods and any improvements made to the software
- Responsible for creating an endtoend test plan executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected
- Create training materials and instruct users how to use the software properly
- Bachelors degree in a Computer Science discipline or equivalent work experience
- Experience developing and executing software test plans (manual/ automated)
- Working knowledge and/or experience in identifying and facilitating issue resolution with functional and technical groups
- Documenting and communicating test results
- Experience with NetSuite and Supply Chain/ Warehousing knowledge would be a big plus
