Job Description

Atlantic Unions Enterprise Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local students to gain practical work experience helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry postgraduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.

This internship role is designed to play an important role in bringing our brand to life across a number of event engagements and ensuring consistency in how we show up for our Teammates customers and prospects. Daytoday this role will be responsible for supporting the planning and of corporate events for both internal and external audiences including learning hospitality best practices and handson experience onsite at bank events. It is our intent to give the Intern real assignments. Assignments that stretch the Intern provide the Intern with valuable experience and allow the Intern to contribute to the Marketing Department. The role will collaborate closely with other members of our Marketing and Corporate Communications teams.

The intern will get the opportunity to:

  • Support the planning and of corporate events
  • Learn hospitality best practices
  • Learn event vendor management and contracting
  • Learn fullservice event production including food and beverage audio visual lodging gifting and content management
  • Provide handson support onsite at events for bank customers and Teammates
  • Assist with implementing technology and automation in event management processes

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Hospitality & Engagement Specialist and has a hybrid residency.

Position Qualifications

Education Experience and Position Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Currently working on a degree in hospitality or meeting management public relations marketing or communications
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
  • Must be available to work a 40hour week Monday through Friday
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments professional and academic goals and expectations of this internship position
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills
  • Must be able to function well with indirect supervision
  • Experience with SocialTables Cvent Webinar EventCreate HubSpot or other event management software platforms is a plus
