Job Description

A prestigious law firm is seeking an Attorney with at least 2 years of construction law or complex litigation experience to join its renowned Construction Law Practice in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a practice group focused on counseling dispute resolution (ADR and litigation) and contract negotiation. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction disputes including delay and disruption claims payment disputes mechanics liens bond claims product claims and breach of contract claims. A strong litigation background including motion and discovery practice is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of construction law or complex litigation experience
  • Expertise in construction disputes and contract drafting/negotiation
  • Prior AmLaw 100 and/or judicial clerkship experience preferred
  • Illinois Bar membership required
  • Strong academic credentials written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent references and a desire to develop expertise in construction law

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation: $235000 $365000 annually (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • Benefits: Includes 401(k) medical dental vision insurance paid time off parental leave and family care benefits
