Job Description
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for safely transporting patients to and from appointments activity trips airport shuttle service and other special events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Transport patients for admissions and discharges. Including prison pick ups.
- Assure that all passengers are wearing seatbelts before the vehicle is started.
- Drive company facility vehicle to pickup supplies or equipment as needed.
- Respond and adhere to on call schedule as required.
- Accurately and appropriately complete all transportation documentation.
- Maintain vehicle log(s) and report maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff.
- Ensure all company vehicles are kept clean and functional.
- Perform body searches as needed.
- Search new admits luggage as needed.
- Demonstrate a positive empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid State Drivers License with no moving violations in the last 3 years required.
- CPR and deescalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
