Job Description
This position provides faculty and staff development and support for the adoption and integration of modern technology into teaching learning and operations. This position works across multiple departments and the entire university to implement new applications and technologies develop training and resource materials that are accessible engaging and pedagogically grounded and provide training and support. The position is a key member of Instructional Technology Training and Development and supports the universitys strategic goals of expanding the IT software infrastructure and improving efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations.
Minimum Requirements
Masters degree in curriculum and instruction educational media instructional technology instructional design or a related field with three years experience directly related to the duties of the position or bachelors degree in curriculum and instruction educational media instructional technology instructional design or a related field with five years experience directly related to the duties of the position. Ability to use a wide variety of instructional technologies to support teaching learning and research. Strong understanding of technology with handson knowledge of Apple products software applications and other educationrelated thirdparty apps. Ability to advise faculty on the design development and implementation of instructional technology that supports and enhances instruction and learning. Experience providing professional development including training and workshops to support teaching learning research and work productivity. Comprehensive knowledge of current instructional theories and practices applicable to technologyenhanced instruction. General understanding of copyright fair use universal design principles and digital accessibility. Exemplary leadership skills in the successful implementation of digital resources in education. Experience developing digital resources for teaching and learning. Excellent communication skills for consultations and training.
Preferred Years Experience Skills Training Education
Masters degree in curriculum and instruction educational media instructional technology instructional design or a related field. Extensive experience working with iPads and other peripherals. Apple Teacher Certification Experience with learning management systems (i.e. Blackboard Canvas)
