Job Summary
As a Technical Training Consultant you are responsible for the design development and deployment of the Marine segment service training and technician development strategy.
Additional Info:
This position can be located in Peoria IL or Miami FL.
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position. ISE will not be considered.
This position will require up to 50 of working time travel both domestic and international.
What You Will Do:
Liaising with Marine business unit to ensure initiatives are planned proposed developed and completed on time and meet quality standards.
Conduct regular meetings with the business unit to inform on progress.
Hear what new challenges there are in the field and determine how we meet the need with training.
Communicate and promote marine training to Global Marine learning centers and dealers.
Conduct regular meetings on Teams and in person to go through the new learning and programs with the instructors so firsthand knowledge of the programs lives at the Learning Centers.
Build strong rapport and work directly with Application and Installation Design and other Field Support Engineering groups to keep communication open on what is happening in the field partner on workshops and guidance on new courses when needed.
Set up Monthly with Instructor meetings.
Oversee and maintain the standards of all courses in the Marine program as well as guidelines.
Develop coordinate and administer purchase service agreements with business unit.
Manage all aspects of expert level marine technician assessment programs globally including instructor assessor preparation and qualification to teach supporting courses.

Training Operations: Knowledge of training processes and procedures; ability to implement training related tasks and programs to ensure smooth daily and strategic training operations.

Monitors and interprets standards and management reports on training activities.
Records all training data and transactions in Caterpillars Learning Management System.
What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Skills):
This requires a more technical background and good knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) structures and behavior also of how it has happened before and who the players will be to get the learning to the targeted market and prove with ROI mechanisms.
Project manage training designdevelopment and other marine service training initiatives.
Understanding of Marine engine systems and technology
Lead progress meetings with Project Managers
Lead progress meetings with Instructors
