Purpose

This role supports the daytoday of the AP and AR Billing teams. The role ensures the timely and efficient invoicing to our customers and the auditing and approval of carrier invoices P&L reporting for all in/outbound transportation services provided by National Logistics Services. This role will support the overall team goals by ensuring billing timelines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the team in ensuring daytoday billing requirements are met.
  • Assist in generating the weekly biweekly or monthly invoicing reports of all Transportation customers utilizing report tools and data entry.
  • Responsible for auditing and GL coding of all Transportation carrier/vendor invoices billed to NLS.
  • Provide daily weekly and monthly cost/revenue figures to the internal NLS Transport stakeholders (Director Transportation & Carrier Management Transportation).
  • Work with Finance to ensure Month End timelines are met.
  • Liaise with internal departments related to issues regarding transportation billing inquiries.
  • Work with the AR/AP Billing team to resolve questions requests and billing issues from internal or external parties in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Communicate customer and carrier billing concerns or trends to the Pricing & Carrier Management of Transport for escalation and followup.
  • Prepare and submit various reports as required for internal (NLS) and external (client) use.
  • Liaison with Client Solutions Manager (CSM) and Manager Pricing & Carrier Management on all service/billing escalation issues.
  • Update FCA weekly Intermodal and Drayage (monthly) in CXT
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • University Degree or College diploma is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • 35 years of experience in an administrative roleaccounts payables and receivables
  • Excellent computer skills advance working knowledge of Excel.
  • Well organized and strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management and priority setting practices
  • works well under deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Able and willing to work overtime as required in order to meet timesensitive service level standards.
