Job Description
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
The Cyber Software Engineering Advisor implements tests and operates advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture. Performs ongoing security testing and code review to improve software security. Troubleshoots and debugs issues that arise. Provides engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. Contributes to all levels of the architecture and maintains technical documentation. Consults team members on secure coding practices. Develops a familiarity with new tools and best practices.

Basic Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
Shall have at least eight 8 years of experience in software development/engineering including requirements analysis software development installation integration evaluation enhancement maintenance testing and problem diagnosis/resolution.
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is required. An additional four 4 years of experience can be considered over the degree. NOTE: A degree in Mathematics Information Systems Engineering or similar degree will beconsidered as atechnical field.
One of the following certifications required:
- AWS Certified DeveloperAssociate
- AWS DevOps Engineer Professsional
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Elastic Certified Engineer
Desired Qualifications:
- Willingness to be a committer/contributor to open source applications
Java programming for distributed systems with experience in networking and multithreading. - Apache Hadoop
- Apache Accumulo
- Apache NiFi
- Agile development experience
- Wellgrounded in Linux fundamentals and knowledge in at least one scripting language(e.g. Python Ruby Perl etc.
- Experience with source code management practices and tools
Enabling tools: Git Maven Jira - Continuous Integration / Continuous Testing: Bamboo Jenkins GitLab Cl/Pipelines
- Continuous Monitoring: ELK Stack (ElasticSearch Logstash and Kibana) Nagios
- Familiarity with microservices software development technique and containerorchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
