Wipro Givon USA has an exciting new opportunity for an Assembly Mechanic to join our team. This position assembles fabricated/machined metal parts and standards into partial or completed assemblies.

Abilities Are you a good fit:
  • Ability to read analyze and interpret general business language technical procedures aerospace blueprints and drawings manuals governmental regulations and safety procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or listen.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for at least 10 hours a day.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Job Duties and Responsibilities What will you do daily:
  • Reads and interprets written work orders and aerospace blueprints and drawings to determine parts requirements and sequence of assembly step.
  • Cleans or otherwise prepares part surfaces for assembly.
  • Applies and cleans excess adhesives lubricants sealants and other substances as required by work order drawing and/or blueprint instructions to piece parts for assembly.
  • Inserts rings pins and other standards and fastens parts together using nuts bolts screws clips rivets or other fasteners.
  • Uses hammers punches pliers screwdrivers wrenches rivet guns and other hand tools to perform assembly operation.
  • Installs bushings and bearings and uses hand tools to produce close fit between parts.
  • Operates drill presses presses or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
  • Uses micrometers force gauges calipers torque wrenches dial indicators and other types of precision measuring tools and equipment. Reads measuring tools and interprets readings in performing assembly operations.
  • Handles parts subassemblies and assemblies with care to ensure those with finishes or special coatings are not damaged or blemished.
  • Performs functional testing.
  • Meets established standards for productivity and quality. Confers with supervisor when problems occur which impact expected levels of performance.
  • Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance to ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Must contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.

Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) a business of Wipro Enterprises (P) Limited set up the Aerospace business in 2013 as a solutions provider in Actuators (Cylinder & Piston) Aerostructures Machining Sheet Metal Assembly and Testing.
WIN spans over four decades in hydraulics. It is today a diversified business in Aerospace Water Treatment Additive Manufacturing and Automation Solutions in addition to Hydraulics business. It has 14 stateoftheart manufacturing facilities across 4 continents and a global workforce of more than 2000 people.
We have leveraged 40 years of precision engineering expertise and domain knowledge of Hydraulics especially Actuators to set up the Aerospace business.
In 2016 WIN acquired HR Givon (Now known as Wipro Givon) an Israelheadquartered manufacturer of metallic parts and assemblies for the Aerospace industry. Givon was founded in 1970 by Ruth and Haim Givon as a familyowned business and grown to be Israels largest manufacturer of metallic aerostructure parts and assemblies. Wipro Givon operates additional manufacturing site in Everett WA less than a mile away from Boeings main factory.
Currently Wipro Aerospace has three manufacturing sites:
  • India 68700 mt 17 Acres)
  • Israel 11600 mt
  • USA 2600 mt
