Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking an estimator to join our team in our Vegas office. We are a successful and established general contractor with a focus on mid to large scale commercial projects throughout the Vegas area including casinos offices hospitals and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor materials equipment and vendor services. Utilize project specifications blueprints and other documents to assess scope and requirements.
Bid Management: Gather and review bids from subcontractors
Scope Review and Clarification: Analyze project documents to identify discrepancies missing information or potential risks. Communicate with clients architects and general contractors to clarify project requirements and expectations.
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and other vendors. Build and maintain strong relationships to secure favorable pricing and reliable service.
Cost Analysis and Value Engineering: Provide cost analysis and recommend value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets without compromising quality.
Market and Industry Research: Stay informed about market trends material costs labor rates and emerging technologies to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers engineers and field teams to ensure estimates align with project plans and schedules.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of estimates bids and project data. Provide regular updates and reports to management on project costs and estimating activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
3 years of estimating or similar experience at a general contractor
Strong understanding of construction processes materials and labor costs.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications and technical drawings.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $90K130K depending on experience
