The Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers The State University of New Jersey Newark is recruiting a fulltime Breast Imager for its Division of Diagnostic Imaging to also serve as the Section Chief of Breast Imaging. We are seeking a candidate at the Assistant Professor level or higher to join our dynamic and evolving division. We serve a diverse community with a wide range of interesting cases. We are a collegial department that values education of residents clinical excellence and faculty personal growth and wellbeing. The position will offer a market competitive salary and excellent benefits. 20 protected nonclinical time will be provided to serve in a leadership capacity. J1Waiver candidates also encouraged to apply. The Department of Radiology has recently upgraded all its breast imaging equipment including the acquisition of a new stateoftheart 3T MRI . University Hospital has also purchased a new mobile mammography unit that will provide screening mammograms to our underserved community. Additionally 3 breast surgeons were recently recruited to help expand the breast oncology program at University Hospital. The Department of Radiology has 39 clinical and research faculty members and 34 diagnostic radiology residents who provide patient care for all the major divisions of contemporary imaging. The department is responsible for all aspects of breast imaging at University Hospital a tertiary care center as well as the Doctors Office Center an outpatient facility on campus. University Hospital is a liver transplant center and a Level 1 trauma center comprising of stateoftheart equipment and employs medical and dental professionals who are specialists in their field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the Section Chief of Breast Imaging for University Hospital. Clinical responsibilities will include all aspects of breast imaging including screening mammography in 2D and 3D diagnostic mammography breast ultrasound breast MRI and the full gamut of imageguided breast procedures.
