Job Description

Position Purpose
To greet clients answer phone calls assist families with music lesson scheduling and provide general administrative support to the B2R management team.

Hours and Schedule

  • Part Time 20 to 25 hours per week
  • Wed/Thu/Fri 3pm to 8pm
  • Saturday 10am to 3pm
  • Sunday availability preferred (currently closed but expecting to add limited Sunday hours in the Fall)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include the following but the individual will also be expected to perform all the duties necessary which are customarily performed by a person holding this position. Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.

  • To greet clients and prospective clients in a polite and courteous manner
  • To respond to internal and external phone calls and email correspondence
  • To support our Summer Camp teachers during breaks and crafting activities
  • To help ensure lesson rooms are fully functional and stocked with all necessary teaching/playing materials
  • To assist teachers and administrative staff in daytoday clerical and front desk duties.

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to interact effectively with the public
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment (eg: telephones photocopiers and computers)
  • Ability to be physically present at the facility during its hours of operation
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with B2R staff and management
  • Adaptable to changes in the workplace
  • Ability to pass a background check

Education Work Experience and/or Licensure

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is helpful

Language Skills

  • Must be proficient English speaking and writing skills
  • Additional language(s) are a plus

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit stand walk travel up and down stairs crouch stoop and reach.
  • Ability to lift and move the equipment typically associated with B2Rs daytoday operation e.g. amplifiers keyboards recording equipment light furniture etc.
