Job Description
The Opportunity:
In this role you will report to the Supervisor Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantors Lab and Production Services team of over 1500 on and offsite expert personnel and our customers to perform customized missionbased lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Location: Cambridge MA
Shift:Mon Fri 7:30 am 4 pm
Wage Range: $28 29 per hour

What were looking for:
4 years experience in customer services purchasing and/or account management required.
High school diploma or GED required.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.
Knowledge of ERP Systems.
Excellent customer service skills including a professional can do demeanor is a must have.
Basic purchasing and inventory knowledge required.
High regard for safety quality and adherence to protocols policies and procedures.
Must be flexible adaptable and multitask oriented.
Ability to selfmanage motivate others and be forward thinking.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to interact with both customers and various departments within Avantor.
Associate degree or undergraduate degree in business or science related field is preferred.
Previous experience managing associates is preferred.
Spill containment IATA DOT and Hazwoper training a plus.
GMP and GLP training a plus.
CPR training and OSHA Right to Know preferred.
Inside sales experience and crossreferencing skills are a plus.
Proven time management forecasting knowledge and/or expediting experience.
Strong problemsolving & analytical skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills; display a professional cando attitude.
High regard for safety quality and site/customer protocols policies and procedures.
Must be flexible motivated and have the confidence to act independently.
Able to safely lift 50lbs minimum.
How you will thrive and create an impact:
Avantors Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma pharmaceutical educational industrial and hightech industries with customizable flexible solutions and endtoend laboratory operations support.
In this role you will:
Be responsible for inventory management of consumables and chemicals including documenting inventory movement by recording additions disbursements adjustments losses and removal of items and accurate inventory control processing requests leading to inventory movement on and off site and fulfilling customer metric reporting.
Prepare inventory reports by collecting and analyzing information on stock usage.
Maintain inventory operations by following policies and procedures as well as reports any changes as needed.
Monitor slow moving and dead inventory conduct cycle counting yearly physical inventories and reporting.
Provide daily customer service functions and communicates with the customer relative to inventory management.
Purchasing functions including but not limited to backorder reporting and expediting direct factory shipments 3rd party support managing quotes document control records maintenance and resolving open invoices or pricing issues.
Provide a highlevel of customer service related to functions including but not limited to order entry reporting maintaining metrics and cost savings tracking.
Glass Washing and Autoclaving.
Shipping (IATA/DOT) receiving internal deliveries coordination activities such as shipping customer material handling routine issues operating basic warehouse equipment entering shipping information into the customer computer system and equipment inspections.
Handle hazardous material and prepare shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
Metrics collection and validation.
Freezer and chemical management and support.
Manage consigned nonconsigned customer owned and 3rd party inventory.
Utilizes Avantor and customer computer systems (SAP Citrix Intranet Avantor Inventory Management Systems ChemSW and customer specific systems) in fulfillment of job duties.
Meets goals and objectives: safety performance and quality.
Documents change management.
Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
