Join the team at John Fawkner Private Hospital as a Grade 2 Physiotherapist! Were looking for an experienced professional to bring their skills to our Allied Health Services team on a casual basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team ensuring exceptional patient care is being delivered.

Specialising in Cardiology Orthopaedics General Surgery and Cancer the Hospital provides a comprehensive range of onsite medical and surgical services and delivering the highest standard in all areas of health care.

As the largest private hospital with the only private 24 hr. Emergency Department and Critical Care unit in northwestern Melbourne John Fawkner Private works with highly skilled visiting specialists who offer subspecialty expertise.

John Fawkner Private Hospital has a longestablished tradition for providing quality healthcare to our local community the veteran community and patients travelling from regional northwest Victoria.

As a Physiotherapist your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive Physiotherapy services to Rehabilitation patients and acute surgical inpatients (including orthopaedics general surgery cardiac and neurosurgery
  • Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment treatment planning and evidencebased practice
  • Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people
  • Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services
  • Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students where required

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor in Physiotherapy
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Able to work a range of shifts Excellent clinical practice skills to manage a high acuity caseload
  • Minimum 1 years experience in an acute hospital environment
  • Prior experience in a Rehabilitation setting would be advantageous
  • Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Proactive customerfocused approach
