Job Description
Qualifications:
- 2 years in a related field
- Skills to operate a broad range of measurement tools
- Strong understanding of measurement techniques
- Ability to read engineering drawings including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Demonstrated ability to selfdirect and independently solve problems
- Sharp focus and attention to small details
- Mechanical background experience in engine assembly or precision machining a plus
Specific Duties include but are not limited to:
- Inspect and measure components using 3D scanning tools profilometers micrometers dial indicators
- Interpret engineering drawings CAD models and GD&T specifications to verify part conformity
- Perform prebuild and postbuild inspections recording precise measurements and ensuring all components meet required specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to refine engine manufacturing processes and improve overall performance
- Maintain accurate inspection reports calibration records and build documentation for traceability
- Develop programs for dimensional inspection using advanced measurement equipment
- Create fixturing to ensure repeatable measurements
- Clean and prep parts
- Maintain clean and organized shop
Additionally:
- Communicate professionally with teammates both on and off site to resolve technical problems
- Continuously improve facilities by keeping it clean organizedand prepared for tests and customer demonstrations
- Assist as needed with computer/IT tasks procurement/purchasing tasks and shop/building maintenance. Being a small company these additional duties may change with time depending on your abilities and companys needs
- This broad range of work responsibilities requires invention imagination originality and relies on your experience in related fields of precision and metrology
