DescriptionJob Title: Temporary Store Sales
Essential Function
Responsible for providing superior customer service and support for a retail store environment Will process customer sales ensuring that each transaction is complete and accurate.
Primary Duties:
- 25:Assist Customers by directing them to products explaining product features and benefits and using sales techniques such as suggestive selling to secure maximum sales
- 25: Record all sales in the Point of Sale system and handle all monetary transactions such as sales returns and exchanges accurately and effectively.
- 15: Price merchandise stock shelvesunloading products from pallets when necessary and perform housekeeping duties to maintain good store appearance.
- 10: Pull merchandise from shelves or stockroom to fill customer orders.
- 10: Assist with store merchandising in accordance with store standard guidelines.
- 10: Resolve all customer service issues quickly and tactfully.
- 5: Complete daily reports and make bank deposits.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year(s) cash handling experience in a retail environment preferred.
- Previous sales experience preferred.
Competencies/Attributes:
- Ability to correspond with customers in person and over the telephone.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally while on a ladder.
- May be exposed to fumes and odors upon occasion.
- Read and understand product labels.
- Must be able to work Saturdays/Sundays and holidays additional overtime may be required.
- Travel to other stores to fill in as required.
- Perform other duties and assigned by Manager.

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements:
- The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending crouching stooping stretching reaching or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The work may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilities such as aboveaverage agility and dexterity.
- The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions e.g. working around moving parts carts or machines; with irritant chemicals; etc. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks gowns coats boots goggles gloves or shields.
