Job Description:
As an Assistant Transportation Engineer with one of our design teams you will be responsible for the preliminary and final design of a variety of bridges.
Preliminary design tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Development of Preliminary Design Reports to recommend the final project scope
- Preliminary cost estimates and
- Civil engineering tasks such as analyzing structure types geometric design of roadways hydraulic design and other needs of the project
Final design responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Civil/structural design or design checks of all components including structures and roadway
- Plan development
- Final cost estimates and
- Compiling all project specifications
Work is performed in a team environment with the support of senior engineers technicians and project managers. Good communications and teaming skills are required.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence ofthe following experience:
ABachelorsDegree in Engineering or closely related field OR nonengineering college graduates and nondegreed candidates must possess a Certification of EngineerIntern as issued by the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers.
