Salary Type: NonExempt Hourly
Location: Salinas CA
Pay: $20.50 an hour

Position Summary:
The Material Handler 1 is responsible for moving products using a forklift/pallet jack within the warehouse. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production.
What you will Do:
- Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.
- Move products and/or pallets from one location to another using a forklift or pallet jack.
- Maintenance of the trash dock. Clean/sanitize the compactor and surrounding dock area. Empty trash compactors when full.
- Monitor trash dumpsters to ensure items/products are being disposed of properly. Bail plastic and cardboard materials to load onto the trailer.
- Monitor inventory of iGPS and wooden pallets and report to the Warehouse Coordinator/Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- GED/High School Diploma.
- 1 year of forklift experience (some positions require standup forklift experience).
- Ability to read write and speak English.
- Ability to multitask and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold wet fastpaced 24 hour plant environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen.
