Staff Product Security Engineer

As a Staff Product Security Engineer you will join the Product Security team at Credit Karma and play a critical role in designing and influencing the technical strategy of Credit Karmas Product Security Team. Youll have the opportunity to influence the security posture of our products and services.You will collaborate across all engineering teams and product development organizations and be a trusted advisor to senior and executive leadership.

What youll do:

• Drive a holistic security architectural and technical strategy across a number of interdependent engineering teams architects systems and offerings.
• Partner closely with senior product leadership to continuously connect business outcomes to platform technical strategy
• Drive system and platform thinking within development teams
• Influence and shape the frameworks abstractions and patterns used by product development teams.
• Be the technical expert researching evaluating and implementing stateoftheart security technologies (open source third party)
• Apply strong technical documentation and presentation skills to communicate architectural and design options at all levels including to executive leadership.
• Act as an industry thought leader continuing to share Intuits growth story as one of the top SaaS datadriven and cloud deployed companies on the web
• Grow a strong security culture set and evangelize vision facilitative leadership attract and retain key talent. Talent steward for the security organization mentor rising leaders

• Mentoring and growing engineers fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning
• Studying emerging technologies industry trends and advancements in security architecture and in fintech

What we expect:

• 5 years experience designing and leading large security architectural efforts for Product Security including handson contributions to complex distributed code bases.
• Broad expertise with modern technology stacks and architectural patterns including API design Database microservices cloud and modern online and offline data processing techniques
• Experience driving security programs like Data Security API Security and Zero trust architecture.
• Experience designing and building for scale resilience and operational excellence
• Excellent communication skills: demonstrated ability to present to all levels of leadership including executives
• Seasoned and ambidextrous leadership able to balance short and long term goals inspire and coach
• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience

• Strong background in Software development and good understanding of software design principles.
