Description
- Verifies that received material meets the requirements specified on the purchase order drawing(s) and/or specification
- Approves or rejects items and records inspection disposition information.
- Verifies that assembled printed circuit boards cables and mechanical assemblies are as specified on the drawing(s) parts lists or specifications
- Reviews traveler inspection record missing material report and closing transfer for completeness and accuracy
- Verifies that assembly workmanship complies with approved workmanship standards and/or specifications
- Maintains files necessary to provide documents proof of assembly inspection and test of completed assemblies
- Assists assembler and inspectors to identify components/hardware
- Read and interpret assembly drawings specifications and standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred
- Minimum oneyear technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferably including visual inspection
- Knowledge in IPC workmanship standards
- Familiarity with rulers pin gauges micrometers and calipers
- Basic computer skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal skills are required
- Ability to read/interpret assembly drawings specifications and standards
- Ability to recognize component marking and symbols
- Ability work with limited supervision
