32Organize and prepare food according to the nutrition need of Gundersen Health System patients employees customers and other outside groups while maintaining high standards of quality sanitation and safety. Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Requisitions organizing and preparing quality foods according to diet menu.
2. Follows standardized recipes and accurately portions according to daily census and production sheets.
3. Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards. Clean and sanitized equipment and work area as needed.
4. Monitoring replenishes and records food usage.
5. Labelsdates and store food in a safe manner.
6. Maintains proper food temperature at prep and throughout service.
7. Operates and maintains a variety of standard kitchen equipment; reports faulty equipment as necessary.
8. Provides orientation training of employees as cooks.
9. Ensures compliance with state local and regulatory agencies as it relates to food.
10. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.
11. Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.
Education and Learning:
REQUIRED High School Diploma or equivalency or current student status
