About Us
Summerland Montessori School is a nonprofit independent school located in Summerland British Columbia. Our multiage classrooms small class sizes (Kindergarten to Grade 6 and focus on playbased learning create a unique and nurturing environment. Known for fostering community outdoor exploration and meeting students at their individual learning levels we also offer the AIM French program from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

- Ability to adapt curriculum programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of students

- Effective communication interpersonal organizational and classroom management skills
- Applicants should model growth mindset and be dedicated to personal and professional growth and development.
Qualifications
- Required: BC Professional Teaching Certificateor Montessori Teaching Diploma (or equivalent).
- Preferred:
- Montessori training or willingness to pursue it.
- Experience with discoverybased philosophies like Reggio or playbased learning.
- 12 years of teaching experience
- Valid First Aid certification.
