Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a Senior Mechanical Designer based out of their Kelowna office. In this role you will manage a team of designers to take projects from inception to completion ensuring quality time and budget expectations are achieved. You should be an experienced designer with an excellent track record both technically and in business development. Creative thinking and a proactive attitude along with strong communication organizational and reportwriting skills are essential.
- Mechanical designincluding HVAC plumbing fire protection and building control systems.
- Manage the planningcoordination and completion of multiple projects.
- Review of system designcalculations and equipment selections.
- Prepare correspondencereports specifications and meeting minutes.
- Team supervisionincluding assigning work peer reviews and technical guidance.
- Establish and monitorinternal budgets and project delivery schedules.
- Provide technicalguidance and mentorship to designers to ensure they are continually growing.
- Develop and maintainclient relationships.
- Contribute tocompanywide initiatives for the development of new systems and standards.
- Comply with ourclients quality management standards and processes.
- Experience with RevitAutoCAD IESve HAP and Microsoft Office.
- Uptodate knowledge oftechnical developments in the field of engineering.
- Clear and concisecommunication both orally and written
- Strong interpersonalskills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with allemployees clients colleagues and municipal agencies.
- Demonstrated ability tomanage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities.
- Ability to formulatesound engineering decisions and judgments.
Requirements
- P.Eng. or ProfessionalTechnologist designation. You should be registered and in good standing withEGBC or ASTTBC.
- Minimum 6 years ofmechanical (HVAC plumbing and fire protection) experience in design projectmanagement and client relations.
- Sustainable designcertification (LEED Certified Passive House Designer etc. or experiencewould be an asset.
